Arrivals at Adelaide airport over a period of 12 months. Each dot is an aircraft. The lines show the colours of the land and oceans passed over during the flight. The orange and browns of the Australian and Arabian deserts, the blues of the Indian Ocean and Timor sea, and the forests of Thailand, Malaysia and the Victorian Grampians.

The first image shows international arrivals, the second shows domestic arrivals in the period of June 2023 to June 2024. Each 30 degrees is a month of data. The length of the lines is relative to the distance traveled by the flight, with Adelaide at the centre of the wheel.

In this period there were over four million passengers who arrived at Adelaide airport.
